Bethany Fruman, VMD
Veterinarian
After obtaining her BSN and becoming a registered nurse, Dr. Fruman realized that her true passion was working with animals, so she made the career change from human to veterinary medicine. Dr. Fruman attended the University of Pittsburgh for her undergrad degree; and the University of Pennsylvania for her veterinary degree. During vet school she traveled to Costa Rica, Panama, Thailand as well as Native American reservations in Arizona and New Mexico, providing low cost spay/neuter services and preventative care to animals in underserved communities. Dr. Fruman also did a one-year rotating internship in emergency care and her special interests include dermatology, feline behavior, and shelter medicine.
In her free time, Dr. Fruman enjoys working with animal rescue organizations, playing piano, doing yoga, watching Broadway musicals, and cat napping with her own favorite five felines, Huxley, Maizy, Pine Cone, Tiny Tim and Lucy. Dr. Fruman also has a rescue pit-bull named Hope and plans to adopt a greyhound in the near future!
