Maria Albanese, DVM

Dr. Maria Albanese joined Pleasant Hills Pet Hospital in June 2022. Originally from Akron, OH, she completed her undergraduate education at Palm Beach Atlantic University. She continued her education at The Ohio State University and was awarded her DVM in May 2022. 

Her professional interests include surgery, physical therapy and pain management. Dr. Albanese is passionate about geriatric patients. She hopes to become certified in acupuncture in the next year to offer additional pain management to both orthopedic surgery patients and older patients with arthritis and musculoskeletal problems. She also has interests in wildlife rehabilitation and exotic pets.

She takes pride in being able to provide a high quality of care to her clients and patients. Outside of work, you can find Dr. Albanese enjoying traditional Chinese martial arts, the outdoors and baking. Dr. Albanese resides in Pittsburgh, PA now and she is the proud owner of two dogs; Rusty and Lacey.
